Acetaminophen Overdoseā¦Could it be Hiding in Your Medicine Cabinet??
Acetaminophen is a commonly used medicine for pain relief and to lower temperature.
Used as prescribed, the medicine is very safe. In patients with underlying liver disease including hepatitis, chronic alcohol use, and some infections, acetaminophen needs to be more cautiously used and monitored.
After an intense workout we may reach for a common pain reliever. Acetaminophen can be appropriate.
The most important thing to remember is to take the medicine as prescribed. If you have underlying liver disease, please discuss with your physician.
